Who is responsible
Harry Cooper, sole trader trading as Mothership Sound Lab, is responsible for the licence, fulfilment and support records described here. Contact details appear below. Paddle separately controls the checkout and payment information it collects as merchant of record.
The plugin and website
The plugin stores evaluation dates, preferences, and the registered holder name and order/licence reference on your Mac. Offline registration makes no server request. We do not collect your audio, projects or usage telemetry through the plugin.
The website stores your motion preference in your browser. We do not add advertising trackers. Hosting and download services process ordinary request information such as IP address, requested URL, browser information and time to deliver and protect the service. Secure checkout loads Paddle when you choose to buy. You do not need an account or payment details for the trial.
Purchase and support records
Paddle supplies the purchaser name, email, order reference, payment status and product details to our licence service. We use them to verify payment, issue and email the signed key, prevent duplicate fulfilment, recover a licence and help with purchase problems. We store the immediate-delivery acknowledgement and the accepted terms version. We do not receive full payment-card details.
Our legal basis for licence delivery and purchase support is performing our contract with you. Accounting records are retained to meet legal obligations. Protecting the service, investigating failed delivery or abuse, and keeping minimal licence-recovery records serve our legitimate interests in running a reliable software business. Providing a checkout email is necessary for automated key delivery; without it we cannot fulfil this checkout. There are no automated decisions about you with legal or similarly significant effects.
Support uses the information you choose to email, including your contact details, order reference, Mac/DAW version and problem description. Please avoid sending passwords, card details, audio or entire projects. We will agree any files needed for troubleshooting first. We do not add purchasers to a marketing list; any future marketing subscription requires a separate choice.
Service providers
Paddle provides checkout, tax handling and payment records; see Paddle privacy information. Cloudflare hosts the fulfilment service, private order database and downloads. The website uses OpenAI Sites hosting. Resend sends transactional licence emails. Google Gmail handles support correspondence. These providers receive the information needed for their role, and may also process service/security information under their own notices. We may disclose records where legally required, including to HMRC, or to advisers handling a specific accounting or legal matter.
Providers operate internationally, including in the United States. Our Cloudflare order database/storage and Resend sending region are configured for Western Europe/Ireland; this does not guarantee that all support, network or provider processing stays there. Cloudflare and Resend publish data-processing terms covering international transfers, including standard contractual clauses and the UK Addendum, with adequacy mechanisms where applicable. Contact us for information about safeguards or a copy, subject to redaction of confidential information. See the Cloudflare DPA and Resend DPA.
How long records are kept
We keep accounting records for at least five years after the 31 January submission deadline for the relevant tax year, and longer where an enquiry or other legal obligation requires it. Minimal order, licence and delivery-consent records are also kept while needed to recover and support the perpetual licence or handle a dispute. We review their continuing need and deletion requests individually. Nonessential troubleshooting attachments and correspondence are reviewed for deletion within 24 months after a support issue closes, unless needed for an ongoing dispute, your licence or a legal obligation. Provider delivery/security logs follow the provider's applicable retention settings; we avoid putting keys or email bodies into application logs.
Your rights
You may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability where applicable. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests, and withdraw any marketing consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. Some records must be retained for legal requirements or claims. Contact support to exercise your rights. You may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office or your relevant data-protection authority. We do not sell your personal information.
